— The newly re-opened Burke Museum is putting together a full slate of activities for people of all ages to come and check out. One of these is Burke NiteLife, a series of events designed to get adults to experience the museum in a kid-free, party-like atmosphere. The first of the series is called Burke NiteLife: Earth and focuses on the museum’s collections of fossils, rocks and minerals, providing guests hands-on activities while enjoying drinks and music. NiteLife: Earth takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. on Jan. 24.

In his new book, The Passion Economy, Davidson lays out the case for hope in the 21st Century economy by telling the stories of some unexpectedly successful people. Davidson, a staff writer for The New Yorker and a Peabody winner for his coverage of the financial crisis, will be speaking about his book as part of the Seattle Arts & Lectures series on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Benaroya Hall.
